David looks forward to seeing his Elevator each week. He genuinely enjoys the time they spend together and this program makes him feel very special. David's self-confidence has improved and he seems to be a much happier student. This program gives students someone else to talk to and have as a role model. It allows someone from this community to mentor our students and show that they care.

Ayden looks forward to his weekly visits, he loves Mr. Ferguson and wants him involved with our classroom projects. I see how much it means to Ayden to have him in his life. Ayden knows he has someone in his corner, someone that will always show up and support him.

Arianna has loved getting to spend time with a female. Her mom recently left and this has boosted her mood. I have a close bond with her but it is so nice that she was able to form another with somebody who cares about her.

Our kids need adult support and benefit from one-on-one time. While I wish I was able to have this one-on-one time with my students, most of the time that doesn't work out. Having another trusted adult in
their life helps to solidify to them that there are people out there, specifically adults, who are supporting them and rooting for them. Having an Elevator also helps to target each student's individual needs.

Alta loves Mary Claire. She looks forward to her coming every week. They have a great relationship. Alta has always been a hard worker, but Mary Claire's influence has helped Alta improve her relationships with other
students.

Since meeting with Amanda, I have seen a transformation with Emily's personality. She has become more open and outgoing compared to when I knew her last year. She seems to feel more confident in her choices and isn't
afraid to ask questions or voice her thoughts. I also want to give a shout out to Amanda for buying the entire class a happy meal from McDonald's to celebrate Emily's birthday. I love that she is making this day special for
her in a way I am not and involving her whole class. AMAZING!

When I met Addyson she was very reserved and was one who, if not watched closely, would fall through the cracks. Addyson has shown great improvement through this year. Nicole has definitely contributed to that.
Addyson is always eager to spend time with her and Nicole provides a nice escape for her.

Nalani loves when Mrs. Kara comes. She works harder on assignments and is more present during lessons. Nalani loves Mrs. Kara and is definitely getting much needed attention, love and support. Education Elevators is
a great program. The students seem to really enjoy it. We are blessed to have Elevators at Piedmont.

Holden looks forward to Joe coming. Holden knows that Joe would be disappointed if I give him a negative report. This has made Holden more accountable with school. Joe is a great Elevator for Holden! He definitely
looks forward to him coming.

Luke looks forward to Nate coming every week. He needs the individual attention. Luke's behavior was a huge concern in August, but he has improved so much this year. It has really helped him to have a great adult role
model to love and encourage him to make good choices.

Breanna looks forward to Tara coming every week. She talks about things they do outside of school as well and you can tell she is excited for it. I know Breanna trusts Tara and appreciates their relationship. I can see Breanna's increased confidence and trust in others. She is always proud to share what we are learning about with Tara. One of my favorite moments was when we read a story about a bearded dragon and Tara brought a pet bearded dragon for Breanna to share with the class. It is things like that that I know lift Breanna up. I LOVE the Elevator program and I am so grateful it is here at Malden Elementary now to positively impact our students.

Jeremy has been a positive male role-model for Sam. Sam looks forward to their time together each week and always comes back with stories about what they've done or talked about. He is always excited and energetic when he returns to class. Spending time with Jeremy since beginning the program has really helped Sam with relationship skills. This has been a consistent outcome for any student I've had in the Elevator program in the past. The Elevators are dedicated to our students and go above and beyond to support them. Thank you for working so diligently to make this happen for our students!

Jeffrey has improved so much thanks to Lenny and his influence. I am completely impressed with Lenny's ability to motivate Jeffrey and teach him. Jeffrey is so much better when Lenny is involved and if he needs encouragement all I have to do is say Lenny's name and he lights up. Jeffrey is so much happier when Lenny is coming, his grades have improved greatly with Lenny's encouragement. Jeffrey talks about Lenny daily, he wants to impress Lenny. This is an amazing program and I hope it continues.

Having a male role model consistently present in Joseph’s life meets a big need for him. Joseph asks nearly every week if Mr. Bartoli will be coming and is excited when he hears the answer. There have not been overnight changes in Joseph, but I see the victories. Joseph has demonstrated longer stretches of positive behavior in the classroom and he is becoming more confident. This is my second year having Elevators work with students in my room. I love the program and have seen the benefits. Thank you for your work!

Colton is always so excited for Wednesdays because he knows that David is coming. David has been a wonderful mentor and has made Colton's attitude towards school much better!

Hunter was a different child on the days that JC would come. He needed a role model and JC was just the perfect person for him. Hunter would do everything to be able to see JC. If he was having a hard day, he would usually turn it around when he saw JC. I appreciate the willingness of JC to work with me to help Hunter in anyway that he could.

Jason had a wonderful relationship with Mr. Settle. He looked forward to Friday afternoons and provided a positive male relationship in his life. He loved getting to participate in his favorite sports and would always come back smiling and optimistic. He started to become much more open as far as communication with me and was more focused on school as a whole.

I have had several students matched with Elevators. Their overall attitude has improved greatly with the positive adult attention. James lost his grandfather over the last school year. His Elevator gave James the positive male influence that he needed.

Ayden looked very forward to seeing Jared every week. It was great for him to have a male role model to look up to and he made improvements in several areas. Ayden's relationship with peers also improved throughout the year.

Ryland really enjoyed Nate coming to see him. He definitely needed his influence in his life. He would always ask if he was coming every Monday and was excited each time he came.
Kayla Bellew
This student was very emotional and had a lot on his mind at all times. He really enjoyed getting to have one-on-one time with someone who was there only for him. He was happier on these days. I really like the EE program! It is nice for the child to have an adult to connect with that is not related to them.

Kids always need safe, trusted adults who care about them. This program is great as there is a long term relationship focused around improving academics, gaining life experiences and seeing what else exists outside of our school community.
